JOB SUMMARY

Based in Roanoke, VA, our community-based health care organization encompasses a comprehensive network of hospitals, primary and specialty physician practices, and other complementary services.

 

Performs a variety of highly skilled technical procedures in the application of diagnostic ultrasound for the imaging of normal and abnormal structures of the human body.  Provides care and services to patients of all ages.  Must be able to work independently.  Sonographers with both adult and pediatric echo registries have the opportunity to received additional compensation.  Sign on bonus of up to $10,000 and relocation assistance of up to $4,000 is available.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.

EXPERIENCE: Experienced sonographer with hospital-based experience preferred, but new registered graduates are encouraged to apply

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR REGISTRATION:Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS/CCI in adult echo, BLS required.  

OTHER:Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
