POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Financial Analyst is an entry-level position responsible for assisting and supporting the needs of the functional area, including activities related to financial reporting, financial planning and analyses, budgeting and forecasting, and implementation of financial concepts and processes.  This position is also responsible for responding to any ad hoc requests from inside and outside the function, ensuring high quality, accurate response and timely follow-up.  RESPONSIBILITIES Implementation of the Bad Debt Placement Process for US and Mexico  Collaborate and develop KPI to monitor collection agencies performance  Review and Process Bankruptcies in accordance with AutoZone Policies  Assists in the creation and maintenance of financial reports, schedules, doubtful transfers, and layouts  Provides financial information and reports to functional areas as needed  Detects, troubleshoots, and resolves issues affecting financial reporting and business operations  Processes and analyzes basic financial data   Creates and maintains process documentation  Assists in the performance of tasks related to month end, period close, quarter close, and year end close functions  Cross trains with other team members on critical report and analysis processes including Mexico teams  Gains learning and experience through meetings with senior executives  Responds to ad hoc requests on a timely basis  REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:   Associate degree in Business or Accounting  Intermediate proficiency in MS Office programs (e.g., Excel, Word)  Quarterly travel to Mexico as needed  PREFERRED:   Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting  FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES   Finance and Accounting Knowledge  Awareness and knowledge of accounting standards   Applies financial and accounting principles to ensure work is accurate, compliant, and complete  Financial Data Analytics  Demonstrates familiarity with various sources of financial data and report preparation systems (e.g. ODS, PeopleSoft, Rocket Shuttle, SAS, CFM) and process  Analyzes data to identify important trends to the functional area/business  Develops conclusions that are insightful and actionable  Technological Proficiency and Agility  Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency with job related computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PeopleSoft, SQL, reporting tools) to perform job functions  Quickly learns and teaches others new programs or functions of existing programs to enhance job knowledge and complete tasks  Looks for ways to improve functional processes and procedures using computer programs  Examines discrepancies between expected and actual results to troubleshoot and identify root causes  ,qualifications:UNAVAILABLE,responsibilities:UNAVAILABLE
