Newmeyer Dillion is excited to seek a new clerk to support our litigation team at the firm's Newport Beach
office!
In a friendly environment that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing, the Legal Clerk will provide support to the paralegals, and can look forward to some exposure to the attorneys.
Minimum Requirements:
As an entry level position, no experience is required; however, basic office experience will be beneficial;
Basic knowledge in MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint is desired;
Strong interpersonal communication skills;
Team mindset;
This role is desirable for paralegal students or college graduates who may be considering law school.
Daily Expectations:
This position will be focused in a lot of projects. Basic filing, indexing, sorting, scanning, photocopying, organizing, tagging and labeling are some of the tasks, in addition to the preparation and assembly of file binders. Creation and revisions of documents, along with redacting documents for privilege and preparing/revising matrices and indexes with accuracy will also be common.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a high degree of personal responsibility and accountability, and a strong desire to succeed.
Apart from exercising professionalism and sound judgment in their daily duties, the ideal candidate must be able to proactively demonstrate effective teamwork and communication with team members and all firm personnel, adhering to the Firm’s Four Pillars of Like, Trust, Respect and Loyalty.
