Entry-Level Insurance Jobs
The role of an entry-level insurance officer is to assist a business unit leader in developing tactical and strategic product, services and/or programs to support the business unit’s goals (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, market share, etc.). An entry-level insurance officer should be the subject matter expert within the delivery unit (insurance practice) for any clarifications required by associates in the insurance domain. An entry-level insurance officer should be working closely with the business head (insurance practice) as well as BU head in various initiatives defined from time to time that require insurance expertise. An entry-level insurance officer should be involved in pre sales initiatives and should be involved in proposals prepared in the insurance domain/ area. An entry-level insurance officer needs to analyze the business unit’s activities and trends and compares analyses against the service standards and best practices. An entry-level insurance officer presents findings and works with the business unit leader and other personnel to identify and implement a strategy that addresses tactical and strategic goals.
An entry-level insurance officer requires a BA degree in business or related field. An entry-level insurance officer should also have knowledge of property and casualty industry insurance. An entry-level insurance officer should have experience either working with insurance firms (with experience in areas such as underwriting, rating, claims processing, etc.) or should be involved in consultancy or projects (as an insurance domain expert).
