Entry Level Psychology Jobs

Entry-level psychologists study the human mind and human behavior which help mentally and emotionally disturbed clients adjust to life. An entry-level psychologist's responsibility is to help those patients who deal with illness, injuries, depression or any mental disturbances and also them who deal with times of personal crisis, such as divorce or the death of a loved one. An entry-level psychologist provides individual, family, or group psychotherapy and interview patients and give diagnostic testes. Entry-level psychologists may collaborate with physicians and other specialists to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs patients can understand and comply with and may design and implement behavior modification programs. Entry-level psychologists work to resolve students' learning and behavior problems and apply psychological principles and research methods to the workplace in the interest of improving productivity and the quality of work life. Entry-level psychologists study the physiological, cognitive, and social development that takes place throughout life. They may implement behavior modification programs.

An entry-level psychologist requires a doctoral degree for independent practice. A master's or doctoral degree, and a license, is required for most psychologists. A year in internship is generally required. Entry-level psychologists must be emotionally stable, intelligent, mature, sensitivity, compassion, and should have the ability to lead and inspire others. Entry-level psychologists should be able to do detailed work both independently and as part of a team.
