Entry-level pharmaceutical candidates are responsible for representing the company as an industry leading in the disease state, market, and product specialist with key office based primary care physicians and have ownership for targeted clinical primary care physicians, they also have responsibility for the office based practice. Entry-level pharmaceutical candidates analyze the market, competition and conduct market research to identify opportunities, threats & key issues. They manage hospital, specialty, and primary care environments. They need to understand and communicate with key customers and staff and manage thought leader development and programming across the cardiovascular customer arena. Entry-level pharmaceutical candidates are responsible for the development of communication programs, advertising, sales promotion, direct consumer contact, detail & retail aids etc and developing innovative promotional programs for augmenting field-force detailing & retailing efforts.

An entry-level pharmaceutical candidate should be graduate or post-graduate in science or pharmacy and additional qualifications in marketing or business administration. Entry-level pharmaceutical candidates should have understanding of the pharmaceutical market and competitive environments. They should have leadership skills to motivate a large team and excellent analytical skills and ability to assess and interpret key market trends and patterns to identify opportunities from a range of information sources.
