An entry-level media candidate creates a comprehensive media strategy to define programs that use media marketing techniques to increase visibility, membership and traffic across all XYZ brands and implement and manage social media programs. An entry-level media candidate educates the management team and others across the company on incorporating relevant media techniques into the corporate culture and into all of the company’s products and services. They work with the client and the account team to understand a client's business objectives and advertising strategy and liaise with the creative agency team, clients and consumers to develop media strategies and campaigns, make decisions on the best form of media for specific clients and campaigns and apply detailed knowledge of media owners in a range of geographical locations. An entry-level media candidate measures the impact of media on the overall marketing efforts. An entry-level media candidate thinks creatively about ways to represent particular clients and identifying target audiences and analyzing their characteristics, behavior and media habits and presenting proposals, with media and cost schedules to clients. An entry-level media candidate maintains good contacts with media owners, such as newspapers, magazines, and websites, managing client relationships.
An entry-level media candidate is a graduate from advertising, mass communication, journalism, job boards, and online media backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (especially in English) is required. Sound knowledge of contemporary media tools like social networking sites, blogs, pod casts, widgets, and mobile communication is also required. An entry-level media candidate must be able to think strategically, and be willing and able to roll up his sleeves to help implement the programs.
