Entry-Level Interior Design Jobs

An entry-level interior designer takes care of complete designing part for corporate and residential projects. An entry-level interior designer is responsible for client interaction, preparing layouts on CAD, complete coordination with architects for construction drawings and coordination with service consultants for construction service drawings. An entry-level interior designer checks all furniture layouts and makes the required changes; and prepares all the carpentry details and partition layouts. An entry-level interior designer develops and prepares drawings, determines costs and provides schedule for projects, hires workers to complete the job, uses established industry contacts to purchase supplies, coordinates construction planning and administration, performs reviews, and conducts technical research.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred for entry-level interior designer. Experience in the field of construction, design, or a related area is an advantage. An entry-level interior designer should be familiar with a variety of construction concepts, practices, and procedures. An entry-level interior designer should also possess ability to work with employees at different levels to accomplish objectives.
